I started my first blog, Valderi Valdera (name inspired by the “Happy Wanderer” song), in December 2007. For a year and a half and 60 posts, I wrote reviews, top ten lists, and random ramblings about my favorite books, movies, music, and television.

My entries were as varied as:

• Ode to the Buffy Musical
• James Marsden … 27 Tries to Get the Girl
• Twilight: The Mammoth Book Review
• The Doctor’s Always In
• A Commuter’s Library: Literary Pursuits on the F Train

Like many would-be bloggers, I had trouble keeping up with it. Because I only posted a few times a month, I tried to make each entry substantial(ly long) and many unfinished posts that lacked sufficient substance languished in draft mode, never to see the light of day.

I wanted to start fresh with a new blog and a new goal. Instead of posting a few times a month, my goal is to post 365 times a year, or at least once per day. I spend a lot of time reading books, listening to music, and watching television and films, and that will be the focus of Valderi365 – reviews, top ten lists, opinions, tid bits, and more random ramblings from a former NYU film graduate and a lover of all media.
